This course
enables students to develop their skills, understanding and
knowledge required to take up positions working with children 0-12
years as assistants in a number of settings.
These settings
may include Long Daycare, Pre-School, Occasional Care and Family
Daycare.
The Certificate
is competency based and provides a nationally recognised
qualification.
Topics
include:
- Ensure the
health and safety of children
- Care for babies
and children
- Support the
development of children
- First Aid Level
II
Length of
course is two days per week for 20 weeks.
