This course is for people seeking employment in aged care within organisational or community settings.

It is the minimum qualification requirement for employment in both aged care facilities and community based aged care and covers such topics as:

• The Pallative Care approach
• Caring for people with dementia
• Assisting clients with medication
• First Aid Level II

This certificate is competency based and provides a nationally recognised qualification.

The length of the course is 20 weeks.

Competency must be achieved for each unit
