Consultancy for Starting a Social Enterprise:

FEO has a long record of operating successful social enterprises which create jobs, are financially sustainable and are owned by the local community.

FEO offers the following resources to help you kick start thinking on a social enterprise for your community. FEO provides cost effective Professional Development.

1.   A visit to Eaglehawk: 

Cost:     $  95 + GST for small non profit organisations.             
             $150  + GST for consultants, educational institutions and Government Departments.
Eaglehawk is located about 150km north west of Melbourne and is on the Bendigo train line.

Melbourne airport is also located north west of Melbourne.

On your visit:
- You will be introduced to Social Enterprise Theory and why FEO chose this pathway to create jobs.

You will visit:  
- Enhance IT – an enterprise that rebuilds computers for health care card holders.
- TradeStart  - a project for early school leavers that is not funded by government.
- Eaglehawk Recycle Shop – a recycling enterprise that creates jobs.
- Workspace Eaglehawk – and industrial park for start up businesses.

- You will be provided with access to resources that will assist your thinking on your return to your workplace.

The visit will take about 2 hours. Shorter and longer times can be negotiated.

2.  ‘Starting a Community Enterprise’ Workshop.   10am to 3pm

Cost:    $135 + GST per person for small non profit organisations
             $195 + GST per person for others
            (minimum of 10 people)

Workshop Program

•        Being Enterprising – What is different about an enterprising worker.
•        The theory behind a Social Enterprise.
•        Visits to Social Enterprises.
•        Lunch provided.
•        Feasibility Studies & Business Plans – some examples.
•        Social outcomes, Governance, Values, A Connected Team.
•        Resources to stimulate your thinking.

Workshops can be negotiated to be held at your Project.

3.  Support to suit your needs.

Cost negotiated.
